New Project: Simulation Guidelines

In 2016 IBPSA will be working with the AIRAH ESD Special Technical Group to produce a publication on how to do good simulations.  This ambitious project is led by Dr Paul Bannister, IBPSA Australasian President, and is intended to produce a comprehensive reference handbook for undertaking best practice simulations that accurately represent building design and operation.  The Guidelines will be written based on methods not simulation packages, an so will be universal across all simulation packages.  The intention is that the Guidelines will become an AIRAH “DA Guide” making them an  significant and long-term contribution to the Australian industry.  Furthermore, Dr Bannister will be coordinating with IBPSA World on how the guidelines can feed into international initiatives for simulation guidance and education.  Interested parties – including those interested in helping with content should contact Paul Bannister at paul.bannister@energyaction.com.au
