There has been a lot of buzz around the ABCB’s NCC2019 facade calculator, but it hasn’t been seen in its final form just yet! In this workshop Sydney will be getting a special look at the final tool with the original developer, Darren O’Dea. In May in Melbourne we gave you a preview of how the tool worked, but at this event you’ll get to see the final format in preparation for using it on your next project.
The development of the facade calculator was funded by the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) to assist professionals in determining and demonstrating compliance with the facade provisions of the NCC2019.
Darren is Chief Building Physics Nerd at Fabric First, a Melbourne startup which aims to deliver better buildings through a fully optimised building envelope. He is a Passive House Certified Designer and experienced professional with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry, skilled in the design and delivery of sustainable buildings.
